Lexington Hexagons is machine pieced and long arm quilted by Kathy Downie. (Machine piecing and long arm quilting.)

Green represents spring, the season for rebirth. We are reminded of how beautiful change can truly be when everything turns green and all the flowers wake up and begin to bloom. (Needle felting, snippets & long arm quilting.)

This design began with roving and thread. The roving is needle felted to fabric, along with various yarns and fibers. Next the floral designs were free motion stitched with thread and the design was free motion quilted to hold all the fibers in place. Hand dyed and discharged focal fabric, machine piecing, ric-rac accent, and free motion machine quilting. This is our side of the wall, I wonder what is on the other side.

Needlefelted roving, yarn & angelina. Couched yarn around circles & free motion zig zag to make disc shapes. Inspired by circles, this piece was crated by needle felted roving & yarns and couched yarns around the disc shapes. The name came as inspiration from the result.

Needle felted roving & yarns and thread painted flower. This piece was created by needlefelted roving and yarns, and thread painted fuschia plant against a cloudy blue sky.

Painted tree, needlefelted leaves, free motion quilted background. Looking up through the painted tree canopy, faint moonlight shimmers on the needlefelted leaves & filters down to be viewed by the people on earth below.

Pieced, hand appliqué, free motion quilting. Needle turn appliqué flowers, surrounded by pieced blocks & free motion quilted to resemble diamond shaped mosaic tiles.
