Reflections of me and my mom. (My botanical printed fabric, applique, stencils, twine, hand embroidery.)

This piece is an ode to my love of Matisse. It was inspired by one of his cut-outs, One Thousand and One Nights. That reproduction along with many books surrounded me every day. (Applique, machine and hand embroidery, machine pieced.)

Hand dyed using Nassen Technique on silk. This piece represents childhood memories of being outside. Cat tails from Honey Lake, the fence I used to climb on and finding wildflowers.
