A Garden for My Granddaughter

Donna Derstadt

Machine pieced & appliquéd; longarm machine quilted. This Grandmother’s Garden quilt is Eleanor Burns’ update of the original Nancy Page design published in 1928. I started this quilt in 1999 and finally quilted it 16 years later. Whew! Making progress on my UFOs!

Geometric Puzzle

Machine pieced; longarm machine quilted. This block appeared in the April 1943 issue of Successful Farming and was republished in 2004 by Better Homes & Gardens in “Quilting Pieces of the Past”. I love the blue & white, and lots of open space for quilting.
