Hand dyed silk scarf, nuno felted and embellished with wool felt. Hand made flowers and needle felted birds. This was derived from an NSNG workshop where the background was created. The birds technique was learned from a guild member.

Orange Floral

Hand felted from wool roving. Wool shrinks as you work and manipulate it. The flowers are needle felted to the fiber base. Made in a class at NSNG with Cynthia Boudreau.

Harvest Moon

Reverse applique, fused fabric, confetti and free motion quilting. Inspired by a class with Rosalie Dace at NSNG. The reverse applique technique was done in layers. Embellished with fused fabric confetti and over-stitched.

Leaves

Cut out appliqué, machine embroidered leaves. This piece reflects many techniques to feature machine embroidered leaves that were appliqued to background.

Log Cabin Twist

Machine pieced and long arm quilted. Over 2000 2 1/2 inch squares were assembled for this quilt in a variation of the traditional log cabin block. Longarm quilted by Peggy Klock of Traverse City, Michigan.

Iris Flower

Old blocks were arranged to make flower table topper. The blocks were donated with completed machine appliqué and some hand embroidery.

Farm Girl Vintage

Off the Edge

Machine pieced selvages – foundation pieced. This quilt is made from the selvages that are normally tossed away. I saw the design at a quilt show and took a picture and worked from that. Design Source – Quilt seen at a show.

Sew Bright

Machine pieced and home machine quilted. This is called a One Block Wonder. Fabric is stacked and cut, then hexagons are assembled. The center of this quilt shows the fabric border type design. Design Source – Class.
