Hand dyed silk scarf, nuno felted and embellished with wool felt. Hand made flowers and needle felted birds. This was derived from an NSNG workshop where the background was created. The birds technique was learned from a guild member.

Hand felted from wool roving. Wool shrinks as you work and manipulate it. The flowers are needle felted to the fiber base. Made in a class at NSNG with Cynthia Boudreau.

Reverse appliqué and machine embellished – free motion. Made in a class at NSNG. Reverse appliqué embellished with free motion machine embroidery.

Reverse applique, fused fabric, confetti and free motion quilting. Inspired by a class with Rosalie Dace at NSNG. The reverse applique technique was done in layers. Embellished with fused fabric confetti and over-stitched.

Cut out appliqué, machine embroidered leaves. This piece reflects many techniques to feature machine embroidered leaves that were appliqued to background.

Machine pieced and long arm quilted. Over 2000 2 1/2 inch squares were assembled for this quilt in a variation of the traditional log cabin block. Longarm quilted by Peggy Klock of Traverse City, Michigan.

Old blocks were arranged to make flower table topper. The blocks were donated with completed machine appliqué and some hand embroidery.

Machine stitching, machine embroidered leaves appliqued to suede and velvet. A display of many techniques and fabrics.

Machine pieced with some hand embroidery and long arm quilted. This quilt was started at a retreat 2 years ago and quilted by Peggy Klock. I combined both the 6″ and 12″ blocks and arranged them. Design Source – “Farm Girl Vintage” pattern by Lori Holt

Machine pieced selvages – foundation pieced. This quilt is made from the selvages that are normally tossed away. I saw the design at a quilt show and took a picture and worked from that. Design Source – Quilt seen at a show.

Machine pieced and home machine quilted. This is called a One Block Wonder. Fabric is stacked and cut, then hexagons are assembled. The center of this quilt shows the fabric border type design. Design Source – Class.

Inktense pencils, hand embroidery, thread painting. Upholstery sample accented with fabric paint pencils and machine thread painting. The cat is embellished with hand embroidery.
