IQI Pieced, fused applique, stencil with PaintStik, bead embroidery, image transfer with inkjet printer, machine quilted. Getting the butterfly to float over the surface of this piece was the easiest part of construction. The photos were all taken at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

I love the deep reds, lush oranges and pinks, dazzling coppers and bright warm greens that are abundant in the landscape.
