Machine pieced and quilted. I began this piece in a class taught by Irene Roderick. Each small block is improvisationally pieced. The small blocks are then arranged like a jigsaw puzzle to make up the quilt.

Box was made in Steve Pittlekow’s class of paper I marbled and using botanical handmade paper made by Velma Bolyard, a friend of Steve’s. The top is made from Amber, clay and glass beads.

Hand quilted/embroidered. I made this quilt for a dear friend in Paris on the occasion of her marriage. Her favorite places are embroidered on the map.

You’re Not Going to Cut That!

I hand dyed 4 small shibori pieces. Hand applique, machine quilted. I designed this piece at a workshop with Cynthia Corbin. When I decided to use the orange and indigo fabric everyone said “you’re not going to cut that!”
