Venetian Reflections V

Vanishing Rainbows

1st piece in series related to climate change. Vanishing Rainbows brings awareness to bleaching of coral reefs caused by warming oceans.

Bryce Canyon Controlled Burn 1

Mixed media – fiber, gel medium, paint, layering. This piece was inspired by the aftermath of a controlled burn in Bryce Canyon, Utah. Fires were still smoldering, and smoke clouded the view.

Corallina, Goddess of the Reefs

Stiffened fabric, surface design, paper collage, beading. My goddess series is about strong women. Some of these goddesses are from mythology and some are imagined by me. Corallina protects our reefs which are being bleached and are dying as a result of warming seas. Fabric and paper sculpture.
