Machine pieced and quilted. This technique is called “One Block Wonder”. Virtually the entire quilt is made from a single fabric, cut into equilateral triangles.

Machine pieced and quilted. I was greatly influenced a few years ago by a fellow quilter’s use of topographical maps to create quilts. This is my second, and for a dear woman for whom this is her center.

Machine piecing and quilting, hand applique. I really enjoyed making this piece. Each square was cut randomly in three places, then one inch strips were inserted. The outcome was a surprise!

She had rings on her fingers and bells on her toes and I knew without asking she was into the blues; she wore scarlet begonias tucked into her curls; I knew right away she was not like other girls… (Pieced, appliqued, embellished.)

Machine pieced and quilted. With a challenge piece, I hope that the fabrics will speak to me. These particular fabrics spoke of roots digging deep into the soil with just a bit of leaf growth above.
