Hand pieced, hand appliqued, hand quilted, hand embroidered and hand beaded. I had this idea for a contemporary art piece using my new “rushing skills” and my old embroidery skills. This art piece turned out much differently than I originally planned.

A Children’s PlaygroundMarilyn Pospishil-Greve
Hand embroidered, hand pieced, hand quilted, hand beaded. I embroidered the redwork pattern from Praise Publications of the children in blue. Then I decided to design an environment around them. The design just grew from there.
It Makes My Eyes DanceMarilyn Pospishil-Greve
Hand pieced and hand quilted. I was perplexed by the people fabric, so I finally put it up and designed this piece with lots of red and black.
Green ApplesMarilyn Pospishil-Greve
Hand pieced and hand quilted. Not a machine stitch on this quilt. I’ve always been drawn to the apple core pattern. After purchasing a new “retro recliner” I needed a “nap quilt” to throw on the couch. All the fabrics came from my stash except one.
Spinning LightMarilyn Pospishil-Greve
Hand pieced and hand quilted. No machine stitching. Inspired by the grape fabric and playing with two sizes of triangles, I came up with this pattern. Being a beginner quilter I had no idea how difficult it would be to use Insul-Bright as a batting: I broke lots of needles.
