Machine pieced and quilted; commercial, hand dyed and painted fabric. This freeform piece was inspired by an NSNG workshop taken with Rayna Gilman. It is reminiscent of the many layers of sand, stone & water we experience on our trips to Lake Miichigan.

Snippets of thread & yarn, dryer lint & felted wool are layered and machine stitched to create memories of my summer garden.

Made with vintage, hand dyed & commercial cottons & silks. Fused, painted, machine and hand embellished.
