Weavers Guild of the North Shore
WGNS (Weavers Guild of the North Shore) was incorporated in 2006 to educate and encourage creative weaving and textile arts through monthly programs and workshops. With other guilds, we produce The Fine Art of Fiber, a show and sale, which enables us to engage in various philanthropic endeavors.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of the Month; September–June; at Trinity Lutheran Church in Evanston Il, from 10am–Noon; the October and April meetings are from 6:00–8:00 pm.
WGNS maintains an extensive lending library of periodicals, monographs and books—both historic and currently published.
In addition, professional fiber artists, from all over the country, are invited to speak at monthly meetings to educate members on fiber-related topics. Subsequent workshops provide opportunities to stimulate creativity.
The Nightweavers group meets the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in rotating locations with separate programs.
Visitors are always welcome. For information, go to www.wgnsil.org.
