Illinois Quilters Incorporated
IQI (Illinois Quilters Incorporated) welcomes anyone interested in quilts and quilt making, from the tentative beginner to the experienced fiber artist. Meetings are held at Temple Beth Hillel in Wilmette, Illinois, the first Thursday of the month beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Guest speakers often teach workshops for members on the two days following each meeting as today’s quilters like to stretch themselves into a myriad of new fiber art directions.
IQI has many other activities. It maintains an extensive lending library. Each meeting has a very popular show-and-tell session. “Service” projects include making and donating quilts to charitable organizations including Quilts for Kids, Project Linus, and West Side Veterans. An annual “Quilt In” provides a setting for non-stop quilting, socializing and workshops.
For membership information, see the IQI website.
